Denise Quiones Mentioned in SFX Magazine

Wednesday, December 31st, 1969

In an interview with Allison Mack, performed by Thomasina Gibson, Allison was asked about her favorite episodes of the season. Vengeance was second on her list of favorites!

Here is what she had to say about our favorite avenging angel, “Then Vengeance was great because Denise Quiones played a woman that was a masked heroine. Kind of a female version of Clark. We had lots of comedy with Tom [Welling] in that one and he was wonderful. He has a great sense of humor and brilliant comic timing.

Steven DeKnight talks Superheroes and Denise

Wednesday, December 31st, 1969

In an interview recently with Steven DeKnight, he is asked about having female superheroes involved with an upcoming episode titled “Justice”, which is a nod to the formation of the infamous “Justice League”. Steven DeKnight replies,

“I would have loved to have had a female hero in the mix, but this didnt happen for several reasons. We wanted to stay with characters we already introduced, so that pretty much left us with Andrea Rojas, a.k.a. Vengeance Girl (the wonderful Denise Quiones). Unfortunately from what I understand Denise wasnt available due to her commitment to another TV series. And as stated in question 4, there just wasnt enough room in an hour show for another hero. “

As a correction, Denise is currently not involved with another tv-series. She was, however, busy with the first few weeks of rehearsals for her latest off-broadway production, Zanahorias, which is now completed. Denise plans on coming out to LA for Pilot Season to try to continue pursuing her desire to play on a tvseries though, so keep your fingers crossed!
